I haven't posted sooner because internet is hard to come by now that I have moved. I hope everyone is having a better 2007 than I. My harddrive with all my pics for 2005/2006 has died. I wished I had a backup, but being lazy has it's consequences. So the wife says we should send it in to a recovery shop. The cost would be huge, but she says all of our Japan memories are on it so I guess it's worth it.
*UPDATE* I have a recovery program working on it and hopefully the damage is minimal. It seems that the hard drive itself is still accessible. The program was able to build the partition table from the MFT and was pulling data from it's own copy as opposed to routing it through the OS. Whew!

Wow! We are both 'English instructors' such as yourself and that whole UPDATE paragraph was filled with words and phrases that I will never use in my lifetime.

Hehe. Wow, I've been living with him long enough to actually decipher that sentence. Don't worry everyone! We recovered all the pictures and happily burned them to DVD. Yah!
