The movers we got for free.
There was a little hitch as Kaz couldn't find his keys. What we think happened was someone may have picked them up and took them to return to the police. But, they didn't do it that day and Kaz had no other choice but to go home to Kyoto to get his spare.
When he got back, he came straight over with our crap on the back of his truck. Everything went up with no problems, except for the fridge and bed. The fridge was big and heavy, but step by step we managed to get it up to the third floor. The bed posed a big problem. It was too wide to go up our narrow spiral staircase.
I was scared I'd have to sleep on the floor, but Kaz suggested we do something wild and crazy.
Well. Needless to say, we did it and all of us hauled the bed up the side of our building up to the third floor. We pulled it through the bedroom window, avoiding power lines and police.
When we leave we will have a fire... sale. :)

Well that part of the bed made me crack up! I can't wait to come visit the new place. Leave a space for the Oooooookami!
There is plenty of room for you Brett. We even have lots of futons and foamies and a couch which unfolds into a bed. You'll be staying in style here!
