Soire

Not only is English mangled, sometimes French is as well. Last night we went out to support our friend Kouji, who ran the now closed Club Dunk. A friend of his has asked him to help run a bar called Soire (soiree with an accent on the first e). On Friday nights it's a strip club run by a staff of only females (this is why it's called a girls club). On Saturdays Kouji has it opened for a "like Dunk" night with drinks for 500 yen and karaoke.

Japan is known for being sized small, and this club was no exception. It was as big as a small private lap dance section in Canada. Would it be cozy? The cost of going to a strip club in Japan is quite high. For 60minutes of all you can drink is 4200 yen ($42 approx) and no lap dances, well unless you know the staff I guess.

The karaoke at this place was ancient! The song database had so many songs missing. There were good standbys like the Beatles and such.

So we had some good times, just like the old bar Dunk, except with stripper poles. What more can one ask for? Maybe a clean rag to wash down the poles... ewwww!
