God hates me. Part 1

A friend of mine by the name of Dawn likes that one. I think it was fitting today. Over the last few weeks I have tried to cut back on the crap food, but I guess I may not have been fully hydrated or something because on Monday morning I awoke to feeling of fire in my right ankle. Over the course of the day it subsided to a dull ache unless I tried to move. On Tuesday morning it went back to "fire" and I broke down and went to the hospital. So guess what the doc said? He said I have gout.

Yes. Gout, the disease of Kings. Boy did I not feel like a king. Being as I like mobility I rented some crutches from the hospital for a 500yen per month flat fee. Today I decided to take the bus to work because that meant I could bypass the 20minute walk to the station, and the cost would only be 200yen extra. Well this is where God started to show his hate. A block down the road the physical extertion of walking with crutches caused a massive case of sweating, but the time I got to the bus stop I was under control. I made sure to check the time of the next Namba bus as that was my intended destination. For some reason my brain told me the next bus was Namba even though the sign said otherwise and I saw it. God, why do you hate me so? So everything was good. The bus followed the right road and I was on my way to Namba. Near Namba there is a station called Uehommachi. This station shared the same name as the bus. So everyone piles out. The bus driver looks back and says something. I go up and asked, "Namba. go?". He got the idea and shook his head and said, "finished".

So I got the feeling you get when you realized you've just crapped your pants. I thanked the guy and looked for options. Unfortunately the bus stop wasn't a proper stop for pickups. My only choice was to head to a train station.
