Blame it on the rain.

The day after USJ/Tempozan the weather decided to get crappy. Luckily I was given the task of setting up Nadine's brand new second hand Laptop. Unfortunately it had less RAM than on the spec sheet so I had to go back to Den Den town. The girls were troopers and went to Kobe in spite of the heavy rain.

They were to meet some people in Kobe so I guess they had to go. It was weird seeing how many people Lana knew in Japan. In each city we went to there was someone who wanted to meet up with Lana.

Once they arrived in Kobe they hit the historic Kobe Chinatown. It wasn't surprising that it looked like all the other Chinatowns around the world. There were dim sum restaurants everywhere and street vendors hawking their wares, like bbq pork and the white pork buns.

There were some Zodiac statues as well. As we can see Nadine must be a boar, but in this picture she looks more like a drowned rat.

After some sightseeing and shopping the group went to Rokko mountain and took the cable car up to the top.

Despite the rain they took some pictures. It must have been really wet out there. You can barely see the background.

It looks like they made their way down to the Herb garden and greenhouse. Normally it's a nice stroll down the mountain with arranged flower garden and whatnot most of the way down.

As you can see in the Greenhouse there was no rain and everyone looked happier. After this I can only guess because I wasn't there and I had to switch to Monica's photo set to guide me. It looks like they went to Kobe's Bay area.

They took some pictures aboard the pirate ship and the surrounding area. The rain hadn't let up at this point.

The Kobe tower was also captured as well. These girls seemed to get all the sights in!

Also in the Bay area was the Kobe earthquake museum. Kobe was rebuilt after suffering a massive earthquake. As a reminder of the tragedy they kept some of the rubble left after the quake.

Last but not least the girls met up with Taisuke. He stayed at our parents place on a homestay visit to Canada, and he met Jamie and I in London on our Europe trip. It looked like they had a great time in Kobe.
