Umeda Sky Tower

To end our day we went to Osaka to see the Umeda Sky Tower located in Umeda, a famous shopping and entertainment district.

One of Midori's sisters lives in Osaka so we were to meet her as well. On the way back to Osaka we missed a transfer and had to double back and take the JR Loop line, and boy it's a slow train.

We made it to the JR Osaka station and there we got some Takoyaki while waiting for Midori's sister. Unfortunately for Midori her sister has been up the Sky Tower many times already and didn't want to go. So Ryan, Chiaki and I were to go up the tower. Midori's sister did, however, graciously lead us to the tower itself. I took some pictures at the base until Jamie arrived.

Midori and her sister went shopping together as the rest of us rode the elevator and escalator up to the 40th floor.

The ride up was a little scary as I'm not so fond of heights, but once at the top I chilled out and enjoyed the panorama. Jamie took some good photos while we were up there.

We wanted to stay until the lights came on but hunger won out. So we met Midori and her sister down in the Doutombori area for some Okonomiyaki. It was delicious.

This was the last night for Ryan and Midori. They planned to go to USJ the next day but didn't. I saw them off before I headed to work.
