Spending time with famliy...

My sister has come to Japan for a visit. She arrived a few days ago in Tokyo and has made her way to Kyoto. She, her friend Nadine from Vernon, and her friend Monica from Panama visited Disneyland and spent two nights at my friend Alex's house.

Today we met up with them in Kyoto. We went with them to Kiyomizudera, Yasaka shrine, and the Gion district. It was an amazing day weather-wise though it was hot and humid.

Today was interesting because we also met up with some girls Lana and Jamie knew from working at the college in Vernon. Lana planned to meet Seiko, but by chance we met Sakiko AND Chieko.

We all hung out in front of the Starbucks in Kyoto. Weird, no? Oh, and by the way, if you are claustrophobic please stay inside on the weekends and holidays when you visit Japan. Today was a slow Sunday at a tourist hotspot.
