Her arrival seems so long ago but it has been a while. Now she has gone home, like so many others. We did have fun while she was here though.
We lived it up one last time starting at Slices Pizza. Jamie brought a cake and everyone showed up for some pizza and chin wagging. I came late so I missed celebs like Mr. Banas, but I came just in time to see tall/DJ Alex come in with his new present to himself. He bought a new-used mixer and he was giddy as a schoolgirl on her real date. He could hardly contain himself, but he had to because he was DJing that night. We had some photo buffs in the group so I pulled out my slave flash to have some fun and people loved it. We took some experimental shots before we left. You can see Louise in all her glory with the flash.
Drinks and Karaoke were next on the list. This time it was at Cream Bar. We sat down ordered some drinks and asked for karaoke. We were given books, paper, and a pen. Whoa! Old school. So we all choose a song and gave the slips to the barkeep. Not as efficient as the remote but just as fun, well except when the barkeep put in the wrong song. Tee hee!
We kept playing with the flash here. I had bought new batteries so we could continue playing as they had run low at Slices. I got some okay shots but I need to work on judging distances so that the flash doesn't overexpose or illuminate the background. Rebecca and Dawn have some good pics on Rebecca's camera so you should go over to her Flicker site to see them.
We were lucky to have good friends like Kouji and Misaki as they negotiated with the management to get separated bills. Usually in small bars in Japan the table gets charged and if someone doesn't remember what they drank people often pay more than their share in order to leave. So if you have friends who are forgetful make sure to sit at the bar and order separately.
Dawn enjoyed herself and at the end of the night she and the girls went to another club to see Alex DJ. I had to say sayounara as I had to work the next day.
Have a good time in Uni Dawn!
