It's funny how things work. Both Stephen and Marina are people in the group I manage at work. They happened to meet and have stayed together since. Now they are heading to different places, but Stephen wants to come to Canada to join Marina after he finishes Teacher's college.
The place where we were to meet was Petit Rosa's Pizzeria, an Italian themed restaurant. It's located near the covered Shinsaibashi Shopping Arcade. If you are heading north, in the Arcade, towards the Loft turn right at the Jayro. It's on your right.
All 8 of us took seats at our table and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. No rowdy sayounara drink fest here. The menu included some pasta and meat entrées. The food that came was excellent. Jamie ordered some bread and it came with real (hard) butter, some sort of apple spread, and some honey concoction.
There was time for talk and jokes, especially since Chimbo took a year and a day to eat his chicken. He removed the skin from the bones with great care. I thought he needed more meat on his bones he is so skinny. But, whatever, since he fits in the clothes sold at high end outlets and I don't.
We paid the bill and left and Kate and Ann realized they had forgotten to include their dessert on the bill. The waiter had taken our word when separating the bill. Kate went back and paid and we made our way to the station. On the way we saw a great Engrish sign and Stephen posed.
Ah, the fun times! Here's to Marina and Stephen!
